Phase1: “Survey” the Article!

  1. Read the title and keywords (these are probably what got you to look at the paper).
  2. Read the abstract.
  3. Read the conclusion.

Feel free to stop reading the article at any point

Phase2: “Reading” the Article!

  1. Look at the tables and figures (including the captions).
  2. Read the Introduction.
  3. Read the Results and discussions. This is the heart of the paper
  4. Read the Experimental

Now What?

  • write some notes → you don’t have to reread the whole paper again
